Board-Certified Orthodontist serving the Northshore

Dr. Rebecca deVerges

Dr. deVerges earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from LSU in 2011. She then went on to receive her dental degree from Louisiana University School of Dentistry in New Orleans in 2015. While in dental school, she was inducted into the both the C. Edmunds Kells and Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor societies. During dental school she fell in love with transforming smiles and decided to dedicate her focus and training on orthodontics. This commitment required her to finish dental school at the top of her class, and then complete an additional 2 years of orthodontic residency.

After completing her residency, Dr. deVerges became board certified and holds the title of Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. A board certified orthodontist is an orthodontist who has voluntarily gone through hundreds of additional hours of preparation and testing to demonstrate their judgment, skills and knowledge required for providing the highest level of patient care. This certification is only achieved by 33% of orthodontists.

Dr. deVerges has been voted by her dental colleagues as one of the best orthodontists in Mandeville in the New Orleans magazine the past three years and counting. Dr. deVerges has a true passion for creating beautiful smiles through a high standard of orthodontic care. Her goal as an orthodontist is to treat everyone who walks into her office like family and to have them complete their orthodontic treatment thrilled with their smile. Dr. deVerges is proud to be a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and Louisiana Dental Association. Dr. deVerges comes from a large south Louisiana family with deep roots on the Northshore. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her sons, Paul and Parker, and her husband Hanlon. She loves to play golf and tennis, go fishing, and play the harp and piano. When Dr. deVerges isn’t seeing patients in her Mandeville or Bogalusa offices, she is an associate professor teaching the orthodontic residents at LSU School of Dentistry weekly.
